Hannah Finn

 

Biography

Hannah was born in 1980 and began singing at the age of 12 when she auditioned for the Theatre Royal production of Maggie May. To her astonishment she was selected despite being under the age the Theatre had set for the production. Her voice even at a raw tender age shone through.

Hannah then went on to star in the following productions up until the age of 16. She appeared in The Hired Man, Sweenie Todd, Oh What  Lovely War and Korjac at the Theatre Royal. When she finished performing in the Theatre Royal she began to focus on her singing and began working towards a career in music.

At the 19 she formed a group called Kosha and began working the circuit. Kosha proved to be a big hit and she was in constant work for the next 6 years. Gigging 3-4 nights a week living her dream to be a full time singer.

At the age of 25 she decided to pursue a solo career in music. As a result 2005 was a very busy year for hannah she entered the Riviera Stars talent show (previously known as Stairway To The Stars). The show is a national talent competition held every year in the Torbay International Centre, it is stage over 6 weeks and has 3 rounds of competition.

She convincingly won her heat and semi final then in the final she was up against some very tough competition most notably Ben Yates who appeared on X-factor in 2006 and is a fantastically talented singer destined for a great career in music. She delivered an amazing rendition of River Deep, My Immortal and I'm Outta Love. (all of these videos are available on the video links on this site) she then recieved an absolutely outstanding review by the judges.

Upon winning Riviera Stars in 2005 she went on to the perform in the Bridlington Spa at the National Star Search National Event.

The Stage magazine wrote about her Bridlington Performance "hannah did a great rendition of River Deep delivering it with plenty of wellie and showing the only true bluesy voice of the evening".

2006 saw Hannah record a studio album with Malcolm Toft. The malcolm is an absolute legend in the music industry from Trident Studios and has worked with people from The Beatles to David Bowie and Elton John. The outcome of this session can be seen in all of the studio recorded videos on this website. Malcolm said hannah had an exceptional voice and is looking to work with her on some original material in the future.

in 2006 hannah sang in the Spotlight Talent show, FX Factor and LPRS National shows alongside performing in the theatre. She also sang at the Air Fusion festival and headlined the Cabaret Arena at the Surfers Against Sewage annual SAS Ball in Newquay. She also sang at the 2006 Riviera Stars Final as returning winner.

Hannah also recorded her first single in October 2006 in London with Evolusound Records, the single is due for release in the second quarter of 2007.
